PDF & document editor
Using PDF & document editor
Add text and marks to PDF or DOCX applications, then preview your export. The PDF editor places new content over the page; it does not rewrite existing PDF text. Check Word layout after conversion.

From file to finished
Start with the right document
Open your form and check that every page is present. For a Word document, inspect tables, line breaks and page breaks before adding anything; a browser conversion may differ from Word.
Fill and place
Use Edit for text and checks, or Sign & Stamp to prepare and place a saved mark. Select an element to adjust its position and appearance. AutoFill is experimental: review detected fields and repeated values before relying on them.
Preview the whole file
Choose Export, set the name and format, and prepare the preview. Read each page, including the bottom edge. Back to editing returns to your tools; download the finished file before closing the tab.
If something looks off
A field is missed
Use the normal text and check tools if AutoFill misses a field or chooses the wrong one. A scanned page may need OCR before text can be detected.
The Word layout changes
Try a PDF exported from the original Word document. This gives the editor a fixed page layout to work with.
A few useful answers
Can I rewrite the original PDF text?
The ordinary text tool adds content over the page. AutoFill and element tools support some detected-content edits, but this is not a general PDF word processor. Inspect the exported page carefully after replacing existing content.
Will my Word download stay editable like the source?
The visual DOCX export packages rendered pages to preserve appearance. It is not a reconstruction of the original editable Word paragraphs and tables. Keep the source DOCX if you need to edit them later.
Where are my edits saved?
Working edits stay in this tab. Download the result before closing or refreshing it. The local document tools do not upload your file; site and library requests are separate from document processing.

Signature background remover
Using Signature background remover
Crop around a handwritten signature, coloured stamp or initials, clean the background, and inspect the transparent PNG. This tool is designed for marks on paper. Optional server AI sends only your previewed, sanitized crop after explicit consent.
- Open

From file to finished
Give the mark a clean starting point
Photograph the signature or stamp straight on, with even light and contrasting paper. Crop away nearby writing, rotate if necessary, and continue to selection. Keep the entire outline inside the crop.
Choose what to keep
Try Extract Object Lite first. Keep and Remove strokes, a box, or a lasso can help separate the mark from distractions. AI extraction is another option and may need a model download before it can run on your device.
Inspect the cutout
Switch between the original and the result. Zoom in on thin strokes and stamp borders. Use Edit to erase remaining paper or restore missing pixels, then Accept and download the PNG.
If something looks off
Fine lines disappear
Use a sharper, evenly lit source and avoid a very tight crop. Compare the original at a useful zoom and restore missing strokes rather than repeatedly sharpening them.
A shadow remains
A grey shadow can look like part of the mark. Retake the photo without the shadow, or remove the unwanted area in Edit.
A few useful answers
Is this suitable for product photos?
This tool is aimed at signatures, initials and stamps on paper. General objects and complex backgrounds can need more guidance and may not separate cleanly. Check the result before using it.
Does extraction upload my image?
The normal workflow runs locally. Local AI downloads models to your device. If optional server AI is available, it is a separate choice that requires a preview and consent to send a sanitized crop.
Why does my PNG look white in another app?
Some viewers display transparent pixels over white. Place the PNG over a coloured page or image to distinguish transparency from white pixels. Converting it to JPEG will fill transparent areas.

Collect the pages
Choose your page photos, or use the camera where supported. Keep all corners visible and avoid glare. Each image must fit the image input limits: 10 MB, 24 megapixels and 12,000 pixels per side.
Straighten and arrange
Check the detected crop for each page. Adjust its corners, correct rotation, and review the processed result before moving on. Arrange pages in reading order; do not rely on the order in which the camera or file picker returns them.
Choose the PDF layout
Open Review, choose the page size and export settings, and inspect all pages. Make sure no edge is cut off. Download the PDF when the size and preview are ready.
If something looks off
The camera will not open
Check browser permission, retry, or use the file picker to choose existing photos. Your device’s native camera can also take the photos before you open Docifer.
The result is too soft
Start with better-lit, sharper photos. Raising export quality can preserve more source detail, but it cannot recover detail lost to blur.
A few useful answers
Can I combine different photo sizes?
Yes. Check the selected page layout and how each photo fits it. Different proportions can leave margins; compare every final page rather than only the first.
Does grayscale always make the PDF smaller?
Not necessarily. Size also depends on resolution, image detail and encoding quality. Use the measured export size, and keep colour when it carries information.
Can I change the order after reviewing?
Return to editing, arrange the pages, and prepare the export again. Confirm the updated order in the final preview before saving.

PDF to Image
Using PDF to Image

- Images or a ZIP
From file to finished
Choose the pages you need
Open the PDF and select pages in the page list. Compare thumbnail numbers with the actual printed page numbers, especially if the document has a cover or unnumbered introduction.
Set the appearance
Use the page editing controls for crop, rotation and colour adjustments. Check whether you are applying an edit to one page, selected pages or all pages. Preview the affected pages.
Choose the image output
Open Review and choose a format, resolution and names. PNG suits crisp text; JPEG may suit photo-heavy pages. Download individual pages or the ZIP, then extract the ZIP before uploading its images elsewhere.
If something looks off
The image is too large
Try a lower resolution or JPEG/WebP if accepted. A maximum applies to each exported image. Enable smaller dimensions only if reducing the pixel size is acceptable.
The page is sideways
Check the original preview, apply the needed rotation, and rebuild the export. PDFs can contain rotation information that changes the displayed orientation.
A few useful answers
Which formats are available?
PNG, JPEG, WebP, TIFF, BMP and GIF are supported. AVIF depends on browser encoding support. GIF is a still image with a limited palette; TIFF and BMP can be large.
Will text still be selectable?
An exported image contains pixels, not selectable PDF text. Keep the PDF if you need text selection, links or document structure.
Can I open a password-protected PDF here?
This converter does not offer a password-entry workflow. If you are authorised to do so, use an unencrypted copy exported from the source application.

Get the composition right
Crop to the area you want and correct rotation before changing the final dimensions. Keep a copy of the original so you can return to it after closing the tab.
Make the edits your task needs
Use Size for pixel dimensions, Adjust for colour and contrast, and Text or Draw for annotations. Keep the aspect ratio when resizing a photo. Undo lets you compare an edit with the preceding state.
Prepare the actual file
Choose Review or Export, select the output format, and prepare the preview. Check the final dimensions and file size. Back to editing restores your previous tool if you need another adjustment.
If something looks off
The image looks stretched
Undo the resize. Crop to the required proportions first, then resize with the aspect ratio locked.
Export is larger than expected
PNG may be large for photographs. Try JPEG or WebP when accepted, reduce quality cautiously, or reduce dimensions if the requirements permit it.
A few useful answers
Do the edits replace my original file?
No. The source file on your device is not overwritten. Downloading creates a result; avoid manually saving it over your only original copy.
Will a larger image be sharper?
Enlarging creates more pixels but cannot recover details that were never captured. Use a higher-quality original when small text or facial details are unclear.
Is the preview the full-resolution export?
The editor may display a scaled preview to fit your screen. Export uses the edited image dimensions, so inspect the downloaded file at an appropriate zoom too.

PDF Studio
Using PDF Studio
Work with up to 100 pages across PDFs of up to 25 MB each. Drag thumbnails to reorder pages or split by page, boundary or custom range. Download one PDF, separate files or a ZIP. Original quality retains text and vectors; compressed image-based exports may make text unselectable.

Build the page list
Open your PDFs and review the thumbnail grid. Add other files if needed. Page numbers in the controls refer to the current combined order, which may differ from numbers printed on the pages.
Organise before exporting
Use Pages to reorder or remove pages, Adjust to rotate or change margins, and Split to create parts. Check which pages are selected before applying an adjustment. Undo restores earlier changes in this session.
Review the output choice
Export one combined PDF or the split parts. Start with Original quality when preserving text matters. Review the final pages and any size-limit messages before downloading or continuing in the document editor.
If something looks off
Only some pages were exported
Check Pages to export. Selected pages only uses the current selection; choose All pages when you need the complete packet.
A size target fails
Try a less demanding target or a lower quality setting. Raster compression can make text unselectable. Do not sacrifice readability just to meet a smaller number.
A few useful answers
Does Original quality always retain selectable text?
It preserves text and vectors on pages that do not need raster processing. Filters or rendered-page export settings can turn affected pages into images. Check the actual output.
Will an existing digital signature remain valid?
Editing or rebuilding a signed PDF can invalidate its cryptographic signature. Keep the signed original and use the signing organisation’s process when signature validity matters.
Can I combine pages of different sizes?
Yes. Review each page’s size, orientation and margins in the final preview. Do not assume every source document uses the same paper size.

Quick image tools
Resize image
Using Resize image
Resizing changes pixel dimensions. Use Compress image when your form asks for a smaller file in KB. Enlarging an image cannot recover missing detail.
- Change
- Width and height in pixels
- Open
- JPG, PNG or WebP
- Keep
- Aspect ratio for proportions
From file to finished
Read the required dimensions
Check whether the form asks for pixels, a ratio, a file size, or all three. Width × height is a pixel measurement; KB is a separate size requirement.
Resize without stretching
Keep the aspect ratio locked and enter the required width or height. If both dimensions require a different ratio, continue in Image Studio, crop to that ratio first, then resize.
Verify the saved dimensions
Apply the resize, open Review, and prepare the output. Check the stated pixel dimensions and download it. A smaller image may still need compression to meet a separate KB limit.
If something looks off
Both numbers will not match
The source and target may have different ratios. Crop to the target ratio rather than forcing both dimensions and stretching the subject.
The resized file is still too large
Use Compress image after resizing. Keep a PNG for transparency; use JPEG for photos only when accepted.
A few useful answers
Can I enlarge a small photo?
Yes, within the editor’s resource limits, but enlargement interpolates pixels. It cannot recreate missing detail or guarantee an acceptable application photo.
Does this set a print size in centimetres?
This tool sets pixels. Physical print size also depends on the print resolution or scaling chosen in your print application.
What image limits apply?
Inputs can be up to 10 MB and 24 megapixels, with no side longer than 12,000 pixels. If a file is larger, export a smaller copy from its source application first.

Compress image
Using Compress image
Compression can reduce detail. Dimensions stay unchanged; if the target cannot be met, try smaller dimensions with Resize image. JPEG fills transparent areas with your chosen background.
- Change
- File size in KB
- Keep
- Current pixel dimensions
- Save
- PNG, JPEG or WebP
From file to finished
Choose an appropriate format
Use a format accepted by the destination. JPEG is often useful for photographs; PNG preserves transparency; WebP can be compact but is not accepted everywhere.
Set a maximum, then prepare
Set the quality where available, enable the maximum file size, and enter the limit in KB. Prepare the output and read the measured result rather than estimating from the preview.
Check detail before downloading
Inspect faces, thin lines and small text. If the target cannot be reached, reduce dimensions in Image Studio when allowed, or use a less demanding target.
If something looks off
PNG will not shrink enough
PNG is lossless and may not have the same quality-size trade-off as JPEG. Crop unnecessary edges or reduce dimensions if transparency must be retained.
The website still rejects the file
Check its format, dimensions and naming rules as well as size. Websites may count KB differently; a slightly lower maximum can leave useful headroom.
A few useful answers
Will compression resize my image automatically?
This image compression workflow keeps dimensions unchanged. Use Resize image or the Size tool when you want fewer pixels.
Why does quality look worse?
Lossy compression discards detail. Lowering quality can introduce blocks or soften edges. Repeatedly compressing an already compressed result can compound the loss.
Can I make a file exactly 100 KB?
The maximum is a ceiling, not an exact-size setting. The result may be smaller or the target may be impossible. Use the measured exported size.

Crop image
Using Crop image
Cropping removes the edges of the exported image. Choose Full image before applying to reset the selection, or Undo after applying it.
- Change
- The area kept
- Choose
- Free crop or a ratio
- Then
- Apply before exporting
From file to finished
Choose the proportions
Select a crop ratio if you need a square, portrait or landscape result. A ratio controls shape; it does not specify final pixel dimensions.
Frame the subject
Draw or adjust the crop on the image. Keep important edges and leave any required margin. Exact crop controls help when a specification gives coordinates or dimensions.
Apply and review
Apply the crop, then prepare the export. If you need a particular final size, continue in Image Studio and resize the cropped image before downloading.
If something looks off
The crop disappeared
Make sure you applied the selection. A drawn crop is a pending choice until Apply crop is used.
An important edge was cut off
Undo the crop and choose a larger area. Within the open session, Undo can restore the previous image; the downloaded cropped file alone cannot restore removed edges.
A few useful answers
Does a 3:4 crop mean 300 × 400 pixels?
No. It only means the height is four thirds of the width. 600 × 800 and 900 × 1,200 have the same ratio. Resize afterward if exact dimensions are required.
Can I reset the box before applying it?
Use the full-image/reset crop control to select the original area again. After applying a crop, use Undo.
Can I crop a transparent image?
Yes. PNG and WebP can retain transparency in the output. JPEG fills transparent areas with the selected background colour.

Convert image
Using Convert image
PNG supports transparency and lossless output. JPEG is useful for photos but fills transparency. WebP supports transparency and compact output; check that your application accepts it.
- Open
- JPG, PNG or WebP
- Save
- PNG, JPEG or WebP
- Check
- Transparency and acceptance
From file to finished
Check the destination format
Read the receiving site’s accepted extensions. Renaming a file does not convert it; use the format selector to create an actual encoded output.
Choose what to preserve
Pick PNG for lossless output and transparency, JPEG for a photo when accepted, or WebP when the destination supports it. Select a background colour if you convert transparent content to JPEG.
Prepare and inspect
Prepare the file after changing the format. Check the preview and size, download it, and open the saved image to confirm its appearance.
If something looks off
PNG is bigger than the original JPEG
PNG encodes the decoded pixels losslessly. That can require more bytes without restoring detail already lost in the JPEG.
The destination rejects WebP
Export PNG or JPEG if one of those is listed as accepted. Browser support does not imply every application portal accepts the format.
A few useful answers
Are JPG and JPEG different formats?
No. They are common file extensions for the same image format. Use the exported extension accepted by the destination.
Does conversion remove blur?
No. Changing the file format cannot repair an out-of-focus source. Use a clearer original for a sharper result.
Is source metadata retained?
The image pipeline removes source metadata when preparing the image. Keep your original if camera metadata or the original file record matters to you.

Rotate image
Using Rotate image
Straightening expands the canvas to preserve the corners. You can continue in Image Studio to crop the result or make other adjustments.
- Rotate
- Quarter turns or an angle
- Flip
- Horizontal or vertical
- Save
- PNG, JPEG or WebP
From file to finished
Check the displayed orientation
Look at the image as opened, because phone photos can carry orientation metadata that the browser has already applied. Avoid rotating an image that is already upright.
Turn or straighten
Use a 90-degree rotation for a sideways image. Use a small angle to straighten a tilted horizon. Flip mirrors the image, so check any writing after using it.
Check the new edges
An arbitrary rotation can leave transparent corners. Continue in Image Studio to crop them, or choose a suitable background when saving JPEG. Review the entire result.
If something looks off
There are empty corners
Straightening expands the canvas to preserve the image. Crop those corners or retain them with PNG transparency.
The text is backwards
Undo the flip. If the source itself is mirrored, a horizontal flip can correct it; compare against the original.
A few useful answers
Will rotating 90 degrees swap width and height?
Yes. A 600 × 400 image becomes 400 × 600 after a quarter turn. Check any required dimensions before submitting it.
Can I undo several turns?
Yes, while the editing session is open. Undo steps back through the changes; retain the original file for recovery after closing the tab.
Does straightening preserve every original pixel exactly?
Non-right-angle rotation resamples pixels to a new grid and may soften fine detail. Start from the original and avoid repeatedly rotating and re-saving.

Merge PDFs
Using Merge PDFs
Files are added in the order received. Review the thumbnail grid before export and drag pages to change their order. Filled forms are flattened in the new PDF.

- Multiple PDFs
- Limit
- 25 MB each / 100 pages total
- Save
- One combined PDF
From file to finished
Add the source documents
Choose the PDFs and add more if needed. Check the resulting page order rather than assuming it follows filenames or selection order.
Arrange the packet
Move thumbnails into reading order. On touch screens, use the drag handle. Inspect pages from each source for rotation, margins and missing form values.
Export one combined file
Choose one PDF as the output and All pages when you need the full packet. Prepare the preview, review every page, and download a clearly named copy.
If something looks off
The merged result contains fewer pages
Check that every input was accepted and that export is not restricted to Selected pages only.
The pages look different sizes
The sources may use different page dimensions. Inspect the result before applying any page-size or margin changes in PDF Studio.
A few useful answers
Will the original PDFs change?
No. Merging creates a new output. Keep your originals separately so that you can rebuild the packet later.
Will filled form fields stay interactive?
Filled fields are flattened in the processed PDF. Review their visible values, and retain the original if you need the interactive form.
Can I merge digitally signed PDFs?
Rebuilding a signed document can invalidate its cryptographic signature. If a recipient needs a verifiable signed original, follow their submission process instead of assuming a merged copy preserves validity.

Split PDF
Using Split PDF
For example, boundaries after pages 2 and 5 create parts 1–2, 3–5, and the remaining pages. Export supports shared size limits and individual names or size overrides.
- Choose
- Each page, boundaries or ranges
- Limit
- 100 pages total
- Save
- Individual PDFs or a ZIP
From file to finished
Choose how to divide
Every page separately makes one file per page. Page boundaries divide the full document into consecutive parts. Custom ranges let you specify the pages for each output.
Enter the cuts or groups
For boundaries, enter the page numbers after which a new file should begin. For custom ranges, separate groups with semicolons. Use the current thumbnail order, not the page numbers printed in the document.
Review every part
Review the split files, change individual names or size limits if needed, and check their page counts. Download one PDF or all files as a ZIP; extract the ZIP to access the PDFs.
If something looks off
There is no output yet
A boundary-based split needs actual cut points. Enter valid page numbers or choose Every page separately instead.
One part fails its size limit
Inspect that file’s settings. A failing part can need a larger limit or lower export quality even if the other parts fit.
A few useful answers
How do custom ranges differ from boundaries?
Boundaries split consecutive sections of the full document. Custom groups explicitly list each part, such as 1-3; 4-6; 7-8. Review groups carefully to avoid unintentionally omitting pages.
Can I give each file a different name?
Yes. Use the individual file settings in the export review. Keep names distinct so that one part is not confused with another.
Can I download just one part?
Yes. Select or use the download action for the relevant prepared file. The all-files ZIP is useful when you need every part.

Compress PDF
Using Compress PDF
Original quality retains text and vectors but may save little space. Other quality settings render pages as images, so text will no longer be selectable. Some limits need lower quality or fewer pages.
- Target
- Maximum KB or MB
- Trade-off
- Size versus page clarity
- Save
- A new PDF
From file to finished
Check what makes up the PDF
Zoom in on the original and try selecting text. A digitally generated document and a photo-based scan can respond very differently to compression. Keep the original.
Choose quality and a limit
Start with a quality setting appropriate to the content. Set Maximum size and the correct KB or MB unit. Prepare the preview and read the actual size and any failure message.
Read the smallest details
Check small text, stamps, dates and any codes at a useful zoom. If the result is too soft, try a higher quality or larger limit, or remove unnecessary pages only when the requirements allow it.
If something looks off
Original quality barely reduces size
It retains the source text and vector content rather than aggressively rasterising pages. A PDF that is already efficient may have little to remove.
The target is impossible
Avoid repeatedly compressing the last result. Return to the original, choose different settings, or make a new scan at a suitable resolution.
A few useful answers
Will the result still have selectable text?
Rendered quality settings turn pages into images, so their text is no longer selectable. Use Original quality when preserving text matters, and check the output.
Is a maximum the same as an exact size?
No. It is a ceiling. The file may be smaller, or the tool may report that it cannot meet the limit with the selected settings.
Can I compress a document that has a digital signature?
Rebuilding or compressing it can invalidate the cryptographic signature. Keep the signed original and confirm whether the recipient accepts a modified copy.

From file to finished
Start with a clear selection
Use Deselect all, then select only the unwanted thumbnails. Check whether a cover or blank page has shifted the relationship between thumbnail numbers and printed page numbers.
Remove and inspect
Remove the selected pages and review the remaining order. If the wrong page disappears, Undo before continuing. At least one page must remain for export.
Export the remaining document
Choose one combined PDF and All pages to save everything left in the page list. Prepare the preview and compare its page count with what you intended to keep.
If something looks off
The wrong page was removed
Use Undo immediately, clear the selection and inspect the thumbnail before trying again.
The final download is incomplete
Check whether Selected pages only is enabled in export. That is different from saving all the pages left after removal.
A few useful answers
Can I remove several pages at once?
Yes. Select the unwanted pages together, verify the selection, then remove them. Undo restores the action while the session remains open.
Does removing a page securely redact information elsewhere?
No. This operation removes pages from the output. It does not inspect other pages, duplicated content or all document metadata for the same information.
Will my original file be deleted?
No. The original on your device remains. Download the edited result with a different name if you want to keep both versions.

Identify the intended order
Compare thumbnails with page headings and printed numbers. Decide the sequence before moving pages, especially when the file contains a cover and unnumbered attachments.
Move the pages
Drag a thumbnail to its new position, use its handle on a touch screen, or use the page controls to move selected pages. Reverse order flips the entire sequence.
Review from beginning to end
Check the thumbnail grid, then export one PDF with All pages. Read through the final preview to catch missing transitions or attachments in the wrong place.
If something looks off
Dragging scrolls the page instead
On a phone, start the drag from the thumbnail’s handle. The page controls provide another way to move selected pages.
I moved the wrong group
Undo the move, clear the selection, and select the intended pages again. Confirm their new positions before exporting.
A few useful answers
Can I undo a reorder?
Yes, while the session is open. Undo restores the previous sequence. Keep the original PDF for recovery after closing the tab.
Will links and bookmarks be rebuilt?
Do not assume document navigation will be preserved or updated when pages are rebuilt. Check any links or bookmarks you depend on in the output.
Does changing the order reduce file size?
Reordering is for sequence, not compression. The output size can differ after rebuilding, but use Compress PDF when file size is the actual requirement.
